I usually buy seedlings when I grow vegetables, but this spring I came across okra seeds at a farmer's market. One packet was only 55 yen, so I bought one. I followed the instructions and planted several seeds in a planter.

One day in the spring, I spotted a sprout growing. I was very excited!

I replanted the sprouts into three planters.

They grew day by day, and it was fascinating to watch them.

One day, some of them started to develop buds. I'd never seen okra flowers before, so I was thrilled. I wondered what color they would be.

One day in July, one of the plants started blooming. I was a bit surprised by the flower's size because it was much bigger than my imagination.

After the flowers bloomed, they finally started producing okras. It took three months to harvest my first okra, and I really enjoyed watching how they grew them.

So far, I've been harvesting them every day. Growing them wasn't as difficult as I had expected, so I'm planning on saving some seeds and grow them next year again.
