I've been growing several varieties of herbs in my garden. My arugula and basil grow so quickly that I have already more than enough. My basil, in particular, became so crowded that I decided to thin it out by picking smaller and weaker ones. I usually use these young leaves as a tipping for my homemade pizza.
Recently, my grandson has been interested in cooking. He loves playing pretend kitchen, so I thought it would be a great idea to let him make a real pizza. I feed him dinner from Mondays to Fridays because both my daughter and son-in-law get home around at 8:30 pm, which is too late for my grandson to eat dinner. After having it, my husband and I take him back home.
I prepared all the ingredients for a pizza party. My husband, our grandson, and I made pizzas party. Most toppings except sausages came from my garden. This summer, we've been harvesting lots of crops, and we don't need to buy any from grocery stores. Making pizza is one of the greatest ways to consume these vegetables.
My son had a wonderful time decorating his pizza. He picked only his favorite toppings.
He looked so serious and focused on making.
The picture below shows his very first pizza he made. He didn't add any green vegetables at all and added lots of cheese.
He told me that that pizza he made was delicious and smiled. He also made two more pizzas to his mom and dad, so we delivered them when we took him back home.
