"To wake up earlier than anybody else is difficult.", and "It is difficult to wake up earlier than anybody else." English permit the two sentences, but Korean usually use first thing. In Korean, we don't have "It" which has no special meaning and just is for filling the subject position. Similarly, "I find it difficult to wake up earlier than anyone else." the sentence is natural in English. However, in Korean, we just say without "It" form.
Now, I am going to say the benefit and negative effect of using "It". First, speaking of negative thing is for Asian hard to understand the use of "It". They face the unnatural forms of "It" compared to their native language. The grammar confused me as well. Positive effect is efficiency. The more I used the expression, The more familiar with "It", and I finally realized that it helped me to make a sentence simple and clear. When I was hesitate to speaking, all i had to do was to say "It" and then say naturally. It is very useful way. "It" makes English comfortable.
It's time to wrap it up. I hope my meaning would be delivered to you well.
Have a grateful day.
Bye :)
