Just right when I decided to stop complaining, our professor asked us something that I found unfair.

He asked, " Do you prefer an oral midterm exam worth 5 marks while your webcam on plus a final exam with 15 marks, or do you prefer just a final exam with 18 marks?"

He thinks we cheat, so he doesn't want us to get the full 20 marks. Last semester he marked one point from everyone down. He's proud that none of his students have ever gotten the 100% score/mark.

I think oral exam is just for speaking and reading. How the hell can we answer grammar questions with the teacher being looking at us? I think a one on one exam with this teacher is scary enough even without a Webcam, let alone with it.

So, I don't like any of his options. It's unfair to mark two points down just because the class is online and we might cheat. It's also scary to do an oral grammar exam with the webcam on.

Which one would you choose for your online grammar exam?
