Hello guys,

It's been a while!

The past few weeks were intense. I took a week off from work last week, and I went to Toronto because it was my birthday. I thought it was the best excuse to take some free time. I've already been to Toronto before, but this was the first time just by myself and for a full week.

On Monday, I saw Demi Lovato on stage. I secured my ticket very late, just a few hours before the show. Unfortunately, I had an issue with Ticketmaster, my electronic ticket didn't work and I had to go to the ticket office and stayed there almost 1 hour. They printed my ticket but took a lot of time. I was lucky, I didn't miss Adela who opens for Demi Lovato for the It's Not That Deep Tour.

I really liked Adela. The dancers were amazing. I think opener artists are not valued as they should be. Most of the time, the venue is not full yet because people want only the artist who they paid for.

On Tuesday, I didn't do that much. I met an old friend who moved to Toronto last year for his job. We walked through the downtown, I discovered the Graffiti Alley, and we ate in a little Indian restaurant. That was good, and the portion was generous.

Then, from Wednesday to Friday, I get a new tattoo on my leg. That was so painful. 3 days back to back. The tattoo is not healing completely yet. I can't wait to see it clean. Even if the sessions were intense and the pain hits hard, I already think to continue my leg.

At first, I wanted to get tattooed on my lower leg. However, the artist explained to me that it's better to do it on the thigh, as it secures a better result for a portrait. My tattoo is a vampire who bites a guy, so 2 portraits and the lower leg "turn" too much for that.

The first session was cool, I was stressed. He took time to redimension the design and did the stencil. We talked a little bit before and during the session to get along. For the second and third sessions, he wore earphones and listened to music. So he pretty much enjoyed the sessions, I guess, while I suffered so bad.

For the last session on Friday, I felt a little bit dizzy. The guy at reception gave me some chocolates, he was so kind. I finished by crying, probably because of the pain and a mix of emotions. I felt alone, unsupported and felt like I was the only client who was in pain. I just tried to not move a lot for the artist.

The tattoo has peeled a lot. That's my second tattoo but a completely different experience from my first one.

I think we can't really compare the tattoos. The first one is also on my right thigh (on the side), it was not so painful. But the tattoo took 3 sessions spaced by 3 weeks each, so my skin had time to heal between sessions. It's not the same style too. The first one is neo-traditional in black and grey with some colors. My second is only black and grey realism. The second one is on my left thigh (on the side too), and goes to the side of my knee.

I don't know what I could do to better manage the pain. I'm glad to be finished and go home with the completed tattoo. It was just a bad moment to get through.

If you have any tattoos, I would like to hear about your experience and see your tattoos.
