Last week, my husband and I invited my parents, our daughter and her family to a French restaurant to celebrated my dad's 93rd birthday and Christmas together.

I'm so delighted that I can still have such happy times with my parents and I really appreciate what my husband has been doing to them.

The French restaurant is one of our favorites, and we go there at least twice a year. My parents always look forward to having dinner with us, and I'd love to share my time with them.

The plate in the picture below shows my dad's dessert plate, which have a birthday wish. When he saw it, he looked very happy. He gave us a short speech to appreciate this family bonding. Although my mom couldn't eat everything because the dinner course was too much to her, my dad ate all of them. She'll turn 88 years old next year, and my husband and I are planning on having her birthday party at Kitcho (a Japanese kaiseki restaurant) to invite them, our daughter and her family next October.

We'll get together to have dinner in next February, and we all are looking forward to it.
