In today's world, health problems in many developed countries are rapidly snowballing, one such problem is obesity, and the richer the country, the more serious the problem. And the recent statistics show a catastrophic percentage of people suffering from this disease. How has it come to this? Is there any easy and cheap solution?

Shortly after humanity made a dizzying revolution in the chemical industry and discovered a large amount of new compounds, scientists created a lot of food additives for the processing and conservation of food. This led to a wide variety of food on grocery shelves that contain a huge amount of sugar, and beverages are at the top of the list. If young people managed to cut down on sugary drinks or even eliminated them from their diet, it would drastically reduce their intake of calories and sugar.

Fast food is packed with additives that make them appetizing, so people can't stop eating them. As a result, they keep putting on weight. Yes, it's the perfect meal for when you don't have time to cook, but I think one should limit themselves to only eating it occasionally.

As sugar is the most common ingredient and carbohydrate in fast food, it has a monstrous ratio of calories per gram. So I would recommend that obese people replace it with a sugar substitute, such as Splenda since it has zero calories.

In conclusion, reducing sugar intake alone won't solve the problem, but a balanced diet prescribed by a nutritionist would be beneficial.
