I was doing/on(?) my daily recreational walk when a British guy passed the zebra and dropped his phone. The traffic light was about to turn red, so I told him, "Hey, You lost your phone" . He was able to save his phone in the last second before a car ran over/though(?) it. He told me,"OMG, mate I f***ing thank you". However, I should have said "Hey, You dropped your phone" instead of "Hey, You lost your phone".

Today I saved someone else's phone, but not my grammar :*(
