The question: What should one take into account when deciding where to watch a movie at home or in the cinema?

Most people love to watch movies, listen to music or read books in their free time. When we want to watch a movie, we can watch it either at home or in the cinema. But what's the best option? Well, it depends on a bunch of factors. For example, if you want to experience the atmosphere and get high-end quality sound, special effects such as Dolby Atmos, which allows to hear the sound of flying helicopters above your head, then, you should definitely choose the movie theater. In addition to the atmosphere, you'll get soft cozy seats, a big silver screen, and, if you pay extra you'll get an adjustable armchair in the last row.
Some people live in small towns or in the country, so they might not have a theater close to their home. In this case, one of options is watching a movie at home on a TV with streaming or a disc player. Even if you have a theater nearby, but you don't want to waste time driving there or pay admission, you can opt to watch a movie at home too.
In some cases, people choose to watch movies at home because they can express a full range of emotions without worrying about disturbing the people around them. So they can laugh, cry or yell at any time, sleep, snore or just pause the movie for a bathroom break. No one will blame you for your transgressions. I prefer to watch movies at home and I put together my own 5.1 sound system. Of course, it's far from a 9.2 system or those more sophisticated ones that are used in theaters, but it's enough to create a surround sound and full immersion. Choose the one that suits you best according to your preferences.
