B. Oh, I'm practicing my Japanese listening skills.

　日本語のリスニングスキルを練習していますが…。

A. Oh, I didn't know you were studying Japanese.

　あら、日本語を勉強中なのか？知らなかった！

B. That's right. I have to practice a lot. Did you know that Japanese is one of the fastest languages in the world.

　そうです。よく練習しなければいけません。世界一はやい言語は日本語だと切ったことがありますか？

A. Wow, I didn't. How does English stack up?

　え！しらなかった、まじ？じゃ、英語は？

B. English is also pretty fast. It's in the top 20 fastest languages.

　英語も速いです。トップ２０番の速い言語です。

A. Oh, I guess I should practice too then. What do you use to practice your listening, A?

　ま、私も練習してよかったな。Aさんはリスニングスキルを練習するのに何を使いますか？

B. I mostly use Youtube. I like it because there are hours of free native content covering a variety of topics.

　だいたいはYoutubeです。ネイティブコンテント何時間もあるし、いろいろな動画があるし、無料から好きです。

A. I see. How do you practice with Youtube?

　なるほど。勉強するときにYoutubeはどう使う？

B. Well, first, I find a short video one to five mins long. Then I listen to the video all the way through. Then I write down what I think the video was about, and all of the most important words I can remember. Finally, I watch with subtitles and make audio flashcards for any words I don't know using an SRS flashcard system.

　まずは、短いビデオを見つけます。大事なポイントはトピックが好きと長さは１分から５分までです。その後に、最小から最後まで聞いてみます。それではノートに動画の内容と覚えた言葉はメモをとります。最後、もう一度字幕と見てわからない言葉をSRSでアデオフラッシューカードを作られます。

A. I see. Isn't it difficult to understand?

　あ、そうなんですか。外語のビデオはわかりにくいか？

B. Sometimes. But, if you use search terms like 'easy English' you will find many videos. I have an idea, how about we study together. It will be more fun, and we can help each other.
