Yesterday, I went to a post office close to the station to post by bicycle.

The post office was opened until 7pm, and a nearby post office was closed 5pm, so I wasn't in time.

The postal clerk said it would arrive on next Monday, because a post office doesn't deliver on Saturday and Sunday.
