Today, I'd love to share such an experience with you. My one-year-old gooseberry bush bore fruit this year! I was completely surprised because it’s still so young. I hadn't noticed my bush had even bloomed. So, when I saw something brownish purple round things on the bush, I had to look two times. Then, I figured out they were fruit.

Since I'd never had gooseberries before, I was absolutely thrilled. They looked like little beads, and I picked some.

They were sweet and I didn't expect that either. They tasted like grapes. I studied how to grow a gooseberry bush, and it's a bit difficult for it in my area because it's quite weak against heat. I've growing mine in a pot, but gradually I'd love to plant it in a ground. So, l'll have to be very careful choosing the right spot. I really hope it'll grow larger and healthier and produce even more fruit again next year.
