I love to eat and yogurt is one of my favorite foods. Well, it's creamy, sweet, and sour, making it an ideal snack, a healthy breakfast, or for someone who loves to eat. I often have it with fruits, chopped green dragon fruit or banana. Recently, I found that if I put some toasted peanuts in it, it becomes so perfect for any moment during the day, whether when you binge watch your favorite shows at night or mid-day dessert in a hot summer day. I often eat quite a lot of yogurt, and where I live they only sell them in small boxes, which I am not a fan of. So I decided to make it myself.
The first batch was not very successful, I did not heat the milk hot enough, they recommended me to keep the temp. about 40-50 degrees Celsius, but I guess that I only heated it to low.
The second batch was sort of the same, I warmed the milk, but I let the yeast yogurt (not sure if it the right term) too cold, they suggest me that I should leave it out in the room temperature for about two hours. I did not do that.
The third batch was a big success. The yogurt was thick, creamy, and sour, and I think it tasted even better than what I often buy at the shop.
Later, I made more and all of them were good.
I learned that if you want your yogurt thicker, you can just boil the milk a bit longer. I always added some condensed milk to thicken and sweeten the yogurt. But you can just have it plain and if you like sweeten it, you can use honey.
One tip that I found incredibly useful is that when you boiling and mixing the milk with yeast yogurt, you can just use a kettle. Because pouring from a kettle is way more easier than anything else (because I pour the mixture into jars before I keeping it warm in the oven, if you warming the whole pot then forget about this tip).
Anyway if you like the video, please like and subscribe for the new one :) (joking). Peace out.
I love yogurt and I've been making it on my own, but I'm kind of cheating. I've been using a yogurt maker and I've never done the way what you mention. Thank you for sharing.
I think it doesn't really matter about the way you making it, as long as you enjoying it. If you have not tried it with peanut, then try it, I think it compliments the flavor of yogurt up to 40-50%. @yumiyumayume
Thank you for the information. I definitely will try!
