I got election anxiety yesterday. It was the municipal runoff election in some cities and I didn't vote, for the first time in my life, because of the really bad covid situation.
I decided to face it with some coping mechanisms lol. I put some upbeat music on and gave myself a hair treatment.
I was listening to Miyavi's latest singles all weekend. His energetic vibe is inspiring.
About the election outcome, well...

Were they not following safety regulations or were you just too paranoid to go out and vote? I must say I might have been part of the latter haha. Friends have invited me to go out during this past month "abiding" to the safety regulations, but I still don't really feel the need to do so. (Especially going out to eat). I like seeing them, but waiting it out and not having unnecessary reunions is a bit higher up for me in terms of priority.
Hi, Poseidon...lol They established some rules, but the reality is different. It's hard to feel safe when everybody is going out without masks on, going to parties and so on. I'm in quarantine since March and I didn't want to take unnecessary risks. The polling places here are at school facilities and my polling station is in a narrow corridor. I was actively avoiding to be in a crammed room. Where are you from?
Same here, I'm from Mexico. Different areas are following the rules to varying degrees. For example where I'm at when we go to the grocery store, everyone uses their mask, but many of them are simple cloth masks and a great percentage also wears their mask under their nose. Not everyone respects the social distancing aspect either, like there are literally marks on the ground when you're in line for the cash register, but nope. I'm usually very very polite, but when they don't give me my space I just have to let them know.
You're right, safety first. Here, the masks available are all made of cloth.
