It’s kind of crazy how, as a society, we used to teach young boys to be angry. I learned at the age of five that if I’m angry enough, I can turn into a Super Saiyan and defeat the bad guys. This is just one example. In most Hollywood movies, cartoons, and so forth, there’s a point when the main character gets pissed off and defeats everyone—for a good cause, of course. Just think of Rocky, Dragon Ball, The Avengers, and so on. I’m not even surprised that many angry young men follow these red‑pill, alpha‑male role models, since this is what they’ve learned they need to do to achieve their goals: be angry, hit the gym, and defeat the enemy.
Fortunately, the situation is improving, and in modern cartoons, anger is no longer the only and primary emotion a main character can feel..
