This journal entry is sequel to my previous one. Since I was sick, it took much longer than I expected to post it.
After enjoying viewing the cherry blossoms in the valley, my parents, my husband, and I had a late lunch at an Italian restaurant which was very close to our house. Since my mom loved the dishes, I'd love to take my parents there again.
We started with a plate of appetizers.
The four of us shared a pizza and two different types of pasta.
I was the only person who drunk a cold drink. The dessert was already cold, so drinking something cold on top of that made me feel chilly. I ended up regretting my choice.
After enjoying the lunch, we walked to see cherry blossoms again. This time, we went to my neighbor, but to be honest, I hadn't known this spot until my husband took us.
The walking path was about 1 kilometer long, and I was so happy to see my 92-year-old dad and 86 year-old mom enjoyed waking there. My dad especially loved the place. He said he preferred there over the previous valley because he could take more interesting photos. I'm curious what photos he's taken, so I'm looking forward to him showing me some.
We saw people sitting and having lunch under amazing cherry trees. Next year, I'd love to have a picnic there with our daughter and her family.
We also found a few cherry trees blooming in unexpected spots.
At the end of the path, we came across lots of tulips.
The picture below is my favorite spot. Unfortunately, all the cherry blossoms have fallen now because of a few rainy days we had.
I already miss the cherry blossoms, and I'm already looking forward to seeing them again next year. I'm so grateful that I could enjoy sharing this special time with my elderly parents and viewing breathtaking cherry blossoms together. Now, I'm thinking that I should take them somewhere to enjoy seeing the wisteria.
