One of my hobbies is visiting flower shops, and a couple of weeks ago, I visited one of my favorite shops in my hometown, Shiga Prefecture. The shop is located in the neighborhood of my husband's parents' house.
It was still a little early in the season to fully enjoy the flower shop, so there weren’t many flowers on display.
I absolutely love their entrance! I'd love to decorate my garden like this. I especially like their hanging solar lamps. I'd love to use the same idea in my garden. They would look so pretty and romantic in the evening. Decorating lots of tiny pots also looks very charming.
Inside of the shop was also very lovely. I saw lots of glass bottles in various shapes. Dried flowers were also very fashionable. I love making wreaths with dried flowers, but Japan's humid and muggy climate isn't nice to them. They are easily worn out and always disappoint me.
I often think I want to place some potted plants inside of my house, but my cat is very curious about plants. Since I don’t know which ones might be harmful to him, I’d rather not take the risk.
The hanging moss (see below) reminded me of Savannah Georgia in the States. When I visited there, I saw lots of moss draping from trees. I had never thought moss could be something to build a business around!
I bought this flower in the picture below at the shop.
I truly miss spring! Once it gets warmer, I'd love to visit more flower shops.
