Has anybody here read the book The 12 Week Year?
I haven't read it but watched a bunch of videos about it. I don't get it yet, though.
I need someone to explain how I can apply its principles.
Should I have only one plan for each month and do it in the first week? Or should I have a plan for each season/ a quarter of a year?

The core idea of "The 12 Week Year" by Brian Moran is to shift from thinking in terms of traditional 12-month years to shorter, more actionable 12-week cycles. Here's how to apply its principles effectively:
One Plan for Each 12-Week Cycle: You focus on 1-3 major goals (called "wildly important goals") per cycle. These should be:
Break Down Your Goals: For each goal, identify the key actions required to achieve it. These are weekly or even daily tasks you commit to completing.
Set Weekly Priorities: Each week, focus on the critical actions that move you toward your goals. Review and adjust as needed.
Focus on the Entire 12 Weeks: The 12-week year works because it allows you to plan with a medium-term perspective.
Distribute Work Across the Cycle: The key is consistent progress. Break down your goals into smaller chunks, and assign them to specific weeks. Leave room for flexibility, but stay committed.
Define Your Vision: Write down your long-term aspirations. What do you want to achieve in the next few years?
Choose 1-3 Goals for the Next 12 Weeks: Pick goals that align with your vision and can reasonably be achieved in 12 weeks.
Break Them into Weekly Tasks: Identify the most important actions you need to take each week. Use a planner or a digital tool to track them.
Commit to Weekly Accountability: Review your progress weekly. Be honest about your wins and areas where you fell short.
Example Goal: Lose 5 kg in 12 weeks.
Week 1: Research meal plans, prep meals, and walk for 30 minutes daily.
Week 2: Start strength training twice a week.
Week 3: Gradually increase cardio intensity. ...
Week 12: Reflect on progress, adjust diet and exercise for sustainability.
The 12-week year emphasizes clarity, focus, and consistency. Start small, and as you practice the framework, you'll get better at aligning it with your goals. Let me know if you'd like help creating a sample 12-week plan!
