I want to talk to you a little about a book I'm currently reading since december 2024. The book is called The House of Spirits, by Isabel Allende, a wonderful writter from Chile. I earned it as a birthday gift from three girlfriends that know that I really like to read, especially before going to bed - so you can see that give me gifts is pretty easy. When I was younger, I used to read a different book every week! Anyway, I would have preffered the original version of the book, that it's in spanish, but I have to say that The House of Spirits it has a really good read, even in portuguese. I had never heard about this book before! I don't have finished it though, because I'm in the last pages yet, nevertheless it was quite surprising to know the book was published in 1942. Sometimes, I have an impression that it was published now, in recent years, because the topics covered by the writter are very common yet and the problems that the characters face are similar to present day problems. Anyway, as I said before, I don't have finished the book yet, but I already would recommend it to you all! :)
