My hometown is Bac Giang, which is located 85 kilometes to the north of Hanoi. I usually ride my motorbike to my hometown, which takes about 2 hours. If I travel by passenger bus, I have to go to Gia Lam station and wait for about 30 minutes. After that, the bus journey takes about one and a half hours. My hometown is famous for its many traditional crafts, the most well-known of which are making furniture, growing lychees, and brewing alcohol. My father is a farmer, and he often brews alcohol to sell locally. Because he makes alcohol every day, he sells a lot and earns a good income. Fortunately, my father doesn't have an addiction to alcohol. During the lychee season, I usually take a week off from school to help my parents. Harvesting lychees is very laborious, but it's also fun when we sell a lot. The buyers are mainly Chinese merchants, and they come into our garden. They drive trucks to our house and take several tons of lychees each week. I need to pay close attention to pests and the weather when growing lychee. If it rains a lot in a year, the harvest will be poor. What I like the most about my hometown is fresh air. I rarely have a cough or runny nose. Because I eat and sleep well, every time I return to my hometown, I gain at least 2 kilos.
