In Japan, we're in the middle of fall, and today I went out to take some photos of cosmos flowers. I like their various pink colors because for some reason, they always make me feel happy.
I stood in the center of the cosmos field and felt close to the nature.
The flowers were in full bloom and dancing in the wind. I come to this spot every year to take pictures of them.
Do you know that these flowers were first discovered by Christopher Columbus in Mexico? He brought them back to Europe.
In Japan, cosmos is well known as an autumn flower. They've been blooming a bit longer than usual this year.
The fall is getting deeper day by day, and we'll be able to enjoy seeing the changing colors of the leaves soon.

How beautiful, Yumi. Every day I wonder what is the ultimate reason for so much gratuitous beauty, independent of the eyes that observe it.
@druida I'm always admired by your poetic comments. It sounds so lovely. Just out of curiousity, do you have cosmos in Spain? If so, are they autumn flowers like they are here?
Hello, Yumi. I did not know the cosmos flower. I live in La Rioja, a region in the north of Spain. It is a wonderful land. It is a region that is mainly dedicated to agriculture and vineyards. Its wine is known all over the world. In autumn, which is our favorite season, what stands out the most is the brown color of the leaves of the vines. Here I send you a video to give you an idea...
