It's almost midnight, but the thermometer in my room still reads 31 degrees Celsius (87.8 degrees Fahrenheit). I can sleep with all the windows open, which is a plus. A reed blind is draped over the window for privacy. Although this photo is dark, the light from a mosquito coil can be seen at the bottom left.
I have low blood pressure and am quite sensitive to heat. I usually sleep with the air conditioner on during hot nights, but I seem to be able to sleep without it tonight.
Good night, everyone!

I heard Japanese summers are very tough because of the humidity. Hopefully you'll get a good nights rest!
Good night! A reed blind and a mosquito coil look romantic in a summer night :)
31°C at night is unbearable. I remember not being able to fall asleep with that temperature, so at 7 AM I just went to the office I worked at so I could at least cool down. It finally made me buy AC after a few years of consideration, even though we have that hot weather for like two weeks a year max.
@hdrx Yes, it's so humid that my glasses fog up and turn completely white when I step outside of very chilly places. Thank you! I slept okay last night.
@Joypark They look romantic and they’re very cheep :)
@BalaGi Oh, there are hotter places in Russia than I imagined. However, I believe the heat in Japan is more intense than you might assume. If you have the opportunity to visit Japan, avoid summer at all costs!
