Vicente Huidobro (1893-1948) was a Chilean poet and founder of Creationism, an avant-garde poetry movement. He was also one of the driving forces behind vanguard poetry in Hispano-America.
Days and nights I've searched for you
Without finding the place where you sing
I've looked for you across the time above and down the river below
You're lost in the tears
Nights and nights I've searched for you
Without finding the place where you cry
Because I know you're crying
It's enough for me to look in a mirror
To know that you're crying and you've cried to me
Only you save the weeping
And from a dark beggar
You make him king crowned by your hand
