"acıktırdı" I know acık means hungry but tırdı what does it means?

"değildi" I know değil means no but why it can be used just değil, why is it used değildi?

"izliyordum" I know  izlemek is a verb: look, see and I also know that -yor is used when you are talking about the present(something like "going to..." in English) so why here we have "dum" which is used for the past tense
