Learning languages is a wild experience. Each country has one (or many) official languages, but even though is examined specific language of one specific country there will be differents. People can have distincts regional accents and slangs that other people may not understand or just do it throught context, even natives.
Another thing that draws me into languages are the "unique words", words that only exists in this determined language, for example, the word "hygge". "Hygge" is a Danish-born concept that has been called the "pursuit of everyday hapiness". Every day I stumble across a word that doesn't have a direct translation it amazes me and kept me thinking if someone who is learning said language will, someday, fully grasp the meaning of it, like a native does. Not just understand the concept, but embedded yourself so much in a culture you can feel (or live) it.
