The table and the pie chart illustrate the sources of the police budget and where the money went in 2017 and 2018.
Overall, each source of police budget increased from 2017 to 2018 in different degrees. The local taxes experienced the biggest increase(10.1m) from 91.2m the previous year, while the national government and other sources only showed relatively minor increases, 2.3m, and 0.5m respectively. However the proportion for each source did not show a significant fluctuation, the national government occupied more than half of the total, and local taxes were around one-third.
Most money was spent on the salaries of officers and staff, but the proportion decreased from 75% in 2017 to 69% in 2018. The proportion of money used on buildings and transport was unchanged these two years, they were 17%. Meanwhile, more money was used on technology in 2018 compared to 2017, the figures rose from 8% to 14%.
