The arteries are vessels that carry blood from the heart to all body tissues. The arterial like the vein comprise three layers: tunica adventitia, more externally, composed by connective tissue: tunica media, composed by smooth muscle and elastic fiber, it’s intermediary layer; tunica intima is composed by endothelial tissue, just one cell layer, it’s the more internal layer. The most important arteries are the Aorta, the coronary and carotid.
