Great post, @SnowyMorning ! That's so exciting that you made the decision to become a translator, and I think you're in the right place for really honing your skills! I feel very confident you'll get lots of amazing feedback on your Chinese posts here from our wonderful Journaly family, and also I'm excited to share with you that I'll actually be posting multiple videos showing my Chinese progress in natural scenarios very soon, along with other language videos. I really hope you'll find all of it valuable and have a wonderful Journaly Experience!
Thank you so much! I look forward to getting to know this community better AND check out your videos on Chinese, I'm drowning over here hahaha so I look forward to see how you study this language. ^^ I appreciate all your hard work to help us language learners out. :)
@SnowyMorning Great job! I think your Chinese is already at a very advanced level. Also it's amazing that you choose to learn traditional Chinese, which is harder to at first :) I can definitely relate to your experience. Starting with non-fiction books might allow you to pick up common words faster. Keep going!
@Undiscovered_jade thank you so much, I did have some help from ChatGPT for more complex grammatical structures, but I tried haha. Thank you so much for your help and corrections, I'm super grateful. I also agree that learning non-fiction books will definitely be more beneficial than storybooks 😅 it's a matter of finding ones that are easier to read that's the tricky part haha I'm up for recommendations if you have any :)
