I love english. I love english since I was in Birmingham long time ago. I have no idea why, but the language and the people are fascinating me. For example the food... often I heard people saying english food is bad or disgusting but I can't agree with them. Generally I hardly have breakfast, but if there will served a english breakfast somewhere I can't hold back... but this is maybe another story.
I want to write about my english learning habits and experience. I have a long way to my office and much time to listen podcasts and bbc radio while I'm driving. I'm reading english books and learning english vocabulary. Sometimes I'm looking english films with subtitles. I do this almost a year and I realised that my listening skills are improving. I understand more and more what I listened. I know many words if someone asks me for a translation but I can't connect these words in a normal daily conversation. The conversation will be stock while the words come to my mind. Since a few weeks I'am learning with a english teacher once a week. It can be possible that I have made improvements but I hardly notice them. I can't imagine that I become a fluence english speaker. At the moment I have less motivation but I hope it will get better soon and I achieve my goal... maybe journaly is a way to improve my fluence while I'm writing.
Great work! Keep it up :)
That was well written and easy to follow! I wouldn't worry too much about fluency, with time you will reach it! Keep using English, enjoy reading, listening, and watching things and it will come. I think Journaly is useful because you can take your time when writing as opposed to speaking, and it helps you see some of the mistakes you make regularly. That way when you are listening or watching things in English you can keep an eye out for the way native speakers say those kind of things.
Thank you 😊
