Preparation for traveling!
I've been preparing to travel abroad since 2 weeks ago. My previous trip was to 3 countries rounding; Vietnam, Thailand, and China 2019. Also, I booked flights and hotels for another US trip in 2020, but it was canceled due to COVID-19.
This time's trip is mixed travel, business and personal. I've never been to other countries for personal reasons. So, I'm excited!! However, I found some recent stories that many Asian females returned to be deported in the US since 2019. They went to the US alone and were younger than me. I have yet to hear the US side's opinions, so I can't do any judges. However, all deported females do business as sole young female proprietors, but it seems they're not advanced English speakers. It's their mistaking point because they were struggling to explain their actual situation to cops.
After hearing their story, I became slightly nervous. I didn't need a business Visa; ESTA covers my business range. It's not a problem because I have the actual evidence and will be able to explain everything. Also, I've booked the hotel and return flights. However, the point that I might be nervous about is part of the private trip after working. I'll go to my friend's house, so I don't have any hotel booking letter. I can explain a friend's detail very well, but I might fear if a few cops ask me in fast, strong English. So, I decided to do the image training! Actually, I'm a funny guy 😆 because my husband said, "You have much evidence, and you don't have any suspicions, and your company can show something that US cops want to see more details. So, you are not the same as them. For a holiday trip, it's just a holiday." Anyhow, I feel I'm enjoying the preparation, including this image training in my head.
Going to the US was one of my dreams 🇺🇸 when I was a kid. So, I'm really, really excited, and I can't wait for the first day of my trip. I hope my first immigration clearance will be passed within a few mins.
Do you get nervous when you pass the passport controls?
