Takk! Eiginmaður minn og Dönsku! I forgot the possessive and the vowel shift!
Góðan daginn Topher(?). Ég var ekki að búast við því að sjá íslensku hérna strax, en það er gaman af því:D Má ég spurja hvers vegna þú vilt læra íslensku? Ég vil mæla með því að bæta við samtengingarorð í ræðuna þína, eins og 'en', 'og' o.s.frv :) Gaman að kynnast þér
Takk! I'm very excited to see someone who can help me with my Icelandic! You'll have to forgive me responding in English, but my level is not quite there yet. I've only studied Icelandic for a few months now. However, I'd like to think I'm coming along pretty well. I have a tutor and have refined my studies down to just a few sources I can focus on. I have always wanted to learn Icelandic, but I had two issues in the past. I didn't have enough resources or know where to find any and I was turned off to any language that had a rolled or a trilled r sound because of some experiences I had as a child. (That's another long story). However, here we are! I am fascinated by Icelandic culture, language, and history and once I have a good grasping of Icelandic I would also like to study Old Norse. I am going to Iceland next year again (hopefully) and would very much like to communicate in the native language. I know my transitions aren't the best, I'm just kind of focusing on constructing simple sentences at the moment and I guess I'm probably too afraid to add any complexity. I'll get there soon though! Thanks again!
Oh, and to'ver is a persona name (obviously related to Topher)!
That's lovely! so you've there before? I can assure you that Icelanders are going to appreciate your efforts! Norse mythology was one of my favorite subjects in school and being able to read all the original texts is something really special indeed. I think you're on a good track, good luck in your studies! I'll be here to help:D Gangi þér vel
