Without delayed, she rushed to the back of Uncle Osan's house. There are many wild plants and they looked bush. While she was searching for the Sireh leaves, she found an old mirror. It looked pretty and remained intact, so she took it home with the Sireh leaves.
Her father has been suffering a strange illness. He couldn't walk by himself. His both legs had wound. Luckily, he could talk as usual but was a bit stuttering. Their small family was too poor to have a check-up at the clinic. After back from work, she leave her old homemade bag made from coconut tree leaves on the floor near a wall. She put food that she kept from her workplace. In her workplace, the employees were getting food with little allowance. The Japanese army were scattered everywhere in the town. Alisyah arrived home at midnight. With a heavy breath, she landed her tired body on the floor. She almost slept but she suddenly remembered her mirror that she collected from the bush that morning. She took out the mirror from her bag and see a young man, probably the same age as her in the mirror. She was startled and involuntarily thrown away the mirror. After a few seconds, she bravely lifted up the mirror back and see the man inside the mirror. The man introduced himself as Kasha. He said he was trapped in the mirror for 3000 years. He was cursed by his family's enemy. So, to save himself, he escaped into the magic mirror. However, he could not free himself forever.
Alisyah felt sorry for Kasha's life journey. She also explained her life condition to Kasha. They promised to become friends from now on.
