Hello! In a couple of weeks I will be taking the IELTS test to certificate my level of English, I've been studying and I thought I could share here some of my writing practices, all type of corrections and comments would be greatly appreciated! The prompt for this essay was if the advantages of moving away from the area where someone was born and brought up when they become adults outweight the disadvantages.

Nowadays, the number if people who move out from their birthplace once they come of age, keeps increasing. This phenomenon brings both positive and negative outcomes; however, the possibilities of for personal and professional growth could be worth it of enduring the disadvantages of said process.

The maturity of a person develops in great measure when they start living not only on their own, but also in a different environment from the one they where born into. This situation forces them to look for solutions and become resourcefullness, as well as to create new relationships that can help them navigate this new setting. Moving away allows a person to develop their full potential.

Another point could be made for the academic and professional areas of life. While towns and cities are becoming more and more equiped as the years go by, many areas area still centralized and can only be pursued in certain urban centers, geographical locations or other specific settings. Sciences and engineering, for instance, require specialized facilities which cannot be found in all places. It is essential that all people are povided with opportunities of access to the mediums necessary to further develop their careers.

On the other hand, could this all be a partial solution to a bigger problem? It has been stablished that a significant amount of people move out of necessity, which means that given access to the same opportunities and services in their hometown, they would stay. These migrations have resulted in cases of alienation, loss of community, and neglected towns. So while it is a situation that benefits at first, the consequences over the years and generations could be of mayor relevance.

To conclude, the act of moving away from home offers a vast amount of advantages for the person who choses to go, such as growing in a personal level and reaching professional opportunities that may have been otherwiae out of reach. However, looking at the bigger scale, strategies could be implemented for families and communities to stay in touch, or in any case, offer favorable conditions to create new ones, in an effort to combine individual and group growth.
