Whenever I think about my childhood I wish I could go back to those days. The days were beautiful when I spend the entire day roaming the streets and farms without worrying about a thing.
I still get a big smile on my face picturing my younger self laughing out loud after poking a paper stick in my brother's ear to wake him up.
My childhood was the most beautiful part of my life although there was nothing extraordinary about it. I mean I did not visit any zoos and parks. However, farms were no lesser than city parks for us.
Speaking about my home town, it was a small town in Rajasthan. I spent most of childhood there but it was not my birthplace. We shifted to this small town from a village when I was one year old. I wish we had not shifted here, but rather Delhi where my father worked so that I could have lived with my father. Anyway we used to visit him on summer vacation and these two months were most awaited months of the year.
Since there was not much pressure on us at that time unlike these days. We spend whole day playing in farms, roaming in streets. There were so many games that we played. Sometimes we watch teens play cricket. We begged our older cousins to let us play and they just made us do fielding when they needed extra players.
I still remember my first catch but that was with the help of my elbow.
I miss those games, I miss those days.......
I miss that laugh after falling from atree, I miss those beautiful and scary stories of my grandma, I miss those school bunking off school .......
I want to make those cave in sand with my feet. I want to pluck 'KARONJA' ( tangy small berries) I want that innocence back, I want that smile back
I want my childhood back ....
