I talked to Jay about the crisis of my career.
As I mentioned earier, some politicians proposed the law about the contry's mental health system.
The key point is qulification. They want to set the bar low of counselor's(or psychotherapist's) qulification.
If the law passed, it will badly affects my career.
Jay listened and understood me.
He talked to me that he had a similar problems in his career.
I heard the story and felt that he really want to empathize my situation.
My mood was a little bit softened.

Also, I have some suggestions for your third to last sentence: the way it's written now isn't grammatically correct, so a better way to put what you're saying would be either "He talked to me about how he had [...]" or "He told me that [...]". Other than that, awesome job on your article! :D
