Make my day

I've been on a long weekend. An initial plan was that I would've been on a simple trip in order to get out of such a busy city. However, I had to call it off due to the rapidly increasing number of cases. To be honest, I was gutted and found it really annoying.

While I was checking my emails this early morning, I noticed there was an unexpected one from Spain. I haven't met her in person, even never talked to her directly. How I got to know her is both of us took the same pronunciation course, where hundreds of students took or have taken in order to improve their pronunciation.

As soon as I realized I got an email from her, I replied, "Wanna catch up? I can give you a link on Zoom"

Luckily, she had some free time, was ready to pick up the calling I made.

I was a bit nervous and yet thrilled, excited, literally, buzzing.

She was there and her mother wanted to have a quick conversation with me as well.

What a wonderful lady with a big smile on her face. That was the icing on the cake.

Unfortunately, we are still in the midst of this global pandemic. However, if we were not, I would have not had this opportunity to connect with them. It was a blessing in disguise.

I had a good start this morning. The quick chat with them definitely made my day.
