Mám sen. Sním o stěhování do Prahy.
Alo mohla bych bydlet v Praze?
I don’t live in Prague so I don’t really know why it is, how it is with flats. Maybe it is great investition to actually own the flat, bcs then you can rent it and earn more money... Prague is an attractice destination. Btw another nice city is for example Olomouc. It is much more smaller (it has only about 100 000 habitants) cit,y but romatic, old historical buildings and much more are found there.
Flats in Prague are ridiculously expensive in my opinion. Try to look for flats in outer city. The price goes down but you can still be in city centre in like 10-15 minutes by metro or something. But I also dont live in Prague so... Olomouc is very nice like Klara mentioned!
@Klara At least here, when you rent a place, you usually have to pay more than what e.g. the owner pays in mortgage, because landlords want profit for renting the flat, not just cover their own mortgage and upkeeping. That's why I was wondering, why the rents seemed decent for me but the selling prices were astronomical. Well, big cities and capitals tend to have higher living costs!
I used to live 20–25 minutes from Prague centre by metro, and that was a nice distance for me. I also liked some smaller towns near Prague, e.g. Kolín (I attended the event Kmochův Kolín a few years back).
I wouldn't even dream of living near the Old Town or even Vinohrady, even though they are absolutely stunning areas.
Also it's good to point out that the price and pay levels are generally lower in Czechia than in Finland, so what is expensive to Czechs, may seem very reasonable for someone living in Finland and getting paid in Finnish standards. :)
