After an endless lockdown that seems longer and longer, I finally decided to make some changes in my place. My bedroom is not a bedroom anymore, because since the 9th month of the pandemic It has been my university, my office, my gym, my place for meditation, my theatre, and importantly, my language learning school. However, and despite I have been using my bedroom for almost everything, I haven't made any change in it since the pandemic began. So I started thinking in how I should change my room style, and how I can convert it in the perfect place for doing all those things that I just mentioned, because to be sincere, apart from my desk, my printer and my scanner, it's still being just a bedroom.
I'm an artist, rather I'm a young actor, screenwriter and film director, so I need a place where I can principally write, watch movies, have reunions with clients and my team, have online conferences, and naturally, I need a place where I can sleep and have some fun. At first sight, it seems like something not that easy for obvious reasons. It'd be completely unprofessional having a meeting with a bed beside the desk, am I right? Moreover, It's a bit weird for a team, or at least It is for me, feel that they are in a bedroom. Therefore, after a few weeks thinking about it and planning out how I might proceed, I find out an ingenious concept that could be absolutely useful for renovating my bedroom, and it's something that it's very common in Asia, where due to the lack of space, people tend to have this versatile strategy. It's called "multi-use space" or "Multipurpose space". They have these folding beds that can be drawers, hidden fridges, etc., that allows you to save space, at the same time as you change the purpose of the place. So I'll take this concept, adapting it to my reality, because my situation is not for space (in fact my bedroom it's pretty large), but to try to hide the fact that it is my bedroom.
As I said, I'm an artist so I have a special thing to do with the 5 large windows that my bedroom has. I'm going to clean them, and I'll make a mix of white oil paint and water for making a sort of canvas, and then, I'll paint 5 enormous Japanese paintings, or even I might paint a kind of collage with my favorite masterpieces. I hope to be able to do it. I don't have the faintest idea of how to paint a Monet or a Caravaggio (hehe), nevertheless there are plenty of youtube videos so we'll see. I need a new start for my bedroom, a new vibe and a wholly different energy, and I think that painting something with a strong symbolism, not something empty and groundless, I'll get that different atmosphere that I'm looking for.
Thanks a lot for reading, see you soon!!

I've also been super motivated to "investing" into my apartment where my boyfriend and I live. My biggest need is wanting to furnish our balcony so that I have a relaxing space to study that's different from my office where I work. My boyfriend bought me a new office chair because mine was falling apart and since I am working towards becoming a translator, I'm going to spend a lot of time at my desk! I'm lucky to have a rather small and manageable apartment so that we can keep our work spaces away from our bedroom. When I was a student, I hated staying the majority of my time just in my bedroom, I felt so trapped! But I think that a "multi-purpose" space is so inspiring! I hope you can transform your room into the space of your dreams!
Wow @FocaFofa I'm glad you have read my post! Also thanks for your comment! Yeah, it's hard to spend too much time in the same place without changing anything, and it's even harder with all this situation. I really hope you can furnish your balcony, I know it's going to be absolutely lovely and peaceful for your studying. Oh! And best wishes with your undertaking of being a translator, you'll be a great one. Once again, thanks!
Thanks so much Rodrigo!! Our microwave broke the other day :( everything that we have in this house from before we moved is from my boyfriend's parents. The oven, for example, is older than I am! (But she works great). The microwave was 15 years old or so, so it's time to buy a new one! We've also had to replace tiling on the wall and had to get a floor redone, so whether we like it or not, this place is slowly becoming ours hahaha! But this also means that my balcony furniture has had to wait :( I know that I'll be able to buy furniture sometime in 2023 though! It's one of my New Year's Resolution goals!
Oh no! What a pity! :c It's a shame that all those expenses have delayed your balcony project. But hey, don't worry, I know in 2023 you're going to be studying in that charming and peaceful balcony that you have been waiting for! Oh, by the way, if the oven is as old as you, then you should call someone who can make sure all the internal gas pipes are working well, just to prevent. (it's just a suggestion hehe) Wishing you a lot of luck and success!!!!
Thanks for the suggestion, Rodrigo! I know that my boyfriend's family had a look at it before we moved in here but it doesn't hurt to double check! This is also my first gas oven, since in Canada everything is electric and honestly I LOVE cooking on gas stoves. I feel like I'm in a Masterchef episode but without all of the cameras.
