Hi, people~🧣🐢
The past few New Year's celebrations passed fairly bad... We did have a Christmas mood before the day of celebrating. We used to embellish a Christmas tree, decorate home and cook something special, my mom and I. However, the day itself always was screwed up. There constantly was a thing which brought about a quarrel and one would go to sleep, others would either stay in the kitchen or go to celebrate somewhere else or lock themselves up in the room. ( that's me 👋)Mmm...yep, it don't sound like a happy holiday description, does it?
I like fiestas and hang out with my relatives sometimes, but this year I just want to skip this disappointingly depressive part and jump right into the new year... And, of course, get gifts from Santa 🙈.
As for the coming year , so far I think I'm going to go to my grandma's village as, apparently, she will be alone as last time. I don't want her to sit by herself. I wanna bring her a fiesta! 🎄 If I'm not able to come, I will clear off somehow 🙈
What are your plans for New Year? 🐢 Maybe there's someone who feels the same way🙈 so, you're not alone!

You captured the banality of the holidays really well, and you are definitely not the only one to notice that! :)
English learners sometimes have trouble with knowing when to use the "gerund" versus the "infinitive" form of a verb. Here is a link with tips on how to know when to use a gerund versus when to use an infinitive. https://www.fluentu.com/blog/english/gerunds-and-infinitives/
Tortuguita! (Are you Brazilian?) I love your posts, I definitely want to steal a little bit of your innocent way writing to me :D
@palabritas phphph idk if I should be glad or not :D . Uuffff, the thing is that sometimes you know the rule, but your brain is just mocking you and you make a mistake even on (about?) simple things :c Anyway I appreciate it! 🌹🐢 I'll check the link to revise :D
Btw, thank you for correcting me ʕ ꈍᴥꈍʔ Happy New year! 🌹🐢
@Nori Olá! tudo bem? (Yep yap, that's pretty all my knowledge of Portuguese language 🙊. Btw, it sounds ✨peculiar✨xd in a good sense, of cou) "innocent"? Jpjppjpj thaaaank you😅👉👈 I'm trying to avoid using emojis and take writing here serously, bu it turned out impossible for me 🥴✌ Idk what exactly you wanna steal, bu you're free to do that 🙈
@TORTUGUITA_ninjita I 100% understand about knowing the rule and still making a mistake. The same thing happens to me. Sorry if my comment sounded patronizing!
@palabritas not a big deal ! :3
