Whether should I learn another language while learning English which I am in intermediate level?

I just joined Journaly a few days ago. I found that everyone here is genuinely keen on learning languages and discovering culture, people, foods, lifestyle and many more things.
Learning a new language that is not simply to communicate with each other but we can approach each country's civilization which is using that language and it can open up more career opportunities for us.
To become a global citizen, I strongly think that it's necessary and keep me up to date and to not be out fashioned.
However, I have been struggling with learning English. How to become more fluent in English or at least I can improve my speaking.
I am just a self-learner.

Hi! π’ I'm a self-learner as wellπ I enjoy learning languages on my own and I get what you're saying in this post. Let me tell you, I don't suggest you to take up a new one if you're still not comfortable with your English π or you don't have any PARTICULAR goal/reason/inspiration. For example, I took up Japanese, although I'm pretty keen on its culture and would love to live or at least travel there, but I gave it up after a week of extreme learning ππ but still sticking to Spanish :3 I look forward to coming back to it in the future, however, now I'm up to my knees with plans for my current babies πͺπΈπΊπΈπ¨π¦π€
I think just wait for that moment when you feel like taking up a new language :3 But, at the end of the day it's up to you :3
Keep going! π’π’β¨
@TORTUGUITA_ninjita - Thank you so much for your advice π€π€π€
Hi! I have a slightly different view on your problem. Of course it's up to you whether you start with a new language or not but you should not think it's impossible to learn two languages in the same time. I'd say it strongly depends on you and your character. If you have motivation, some time and if you know that potential obstacles won't discourage you - then go for it, try. If it turns out that it's not for you, you can stop and wait for a better moment - it's perfectly ok. Some people feel distracted by too much diversity and some (that's me π) feel more motivated. And you won't know in which group you are unless you try π
I just started using Journaly this week too, & I also want to start re-learning German again. However, in the past, it was personally difficult for me to balance both languages. For now, I'll wait until I reach a comfortable level in the language I'm currently learning before I add a new oneπ
That being said, I agree with Zuza, it never hurts to try it out, especially if you're motivated & good at managing your timeπ By the way, your English is pretty good & easy to understand. Keep up the good work~!
I totally agree with you guys on this point. Just try it out and at least we do not regret with our decisions π€π€π€
