The Dimibang restaurant, located in an unusual quiet part of the city, has won a place in the hearts of everyone who loves Korean food. It was incredible reviews on the internet, but it lives up to them.
When you look at it from the outside the place has the simplest appearance, but it is the atmosphere what makes everything glow. The moment you cross the entrance you hear people chatting happily, the meat being cooked in the barbeques, the staff laughing wherever they go. It is a family restaurant, and you can feel it right away.
Looking at the menu can make you feel overwhelmed at first, specially if you are not familiar with the Korean gastronomy, but the owners of the place have it figured out. The waiter, also owner of the place, helps the customers choose a dish in a couple of minutes taking their preferences into account. He kindly explains what the dishes are, what they include and, if you order Korean barbeque as we did, he will help you set it.
We were delighted with the treatment we got, but the food was the cherry on top. It was simply delicious. After learning how to combine the ingredients and a very fast class on how everything is supposed to be eaten, we couldn’t stop commenting how good everything tasted. The ingredients completed each other perfectly, even making the spiciness of some of them bearable for those whose can’t eat it very well. Taking this and how long it takes to prepare some of the dishes the final price of the meal was, for our delight, not excessive.
From time to time the staff passes by, checking that everyone is doing okay and has no problems whatsoever. They were incredibly nice and mindful with all the customers equally, guiding us through their gastronomy and customs. A tea or coffee to finish the experience puts the perfect end to it.
