Do commercials have a crucial effect to convince people to purchase new products services? It is an ongoing question that exists in today’s modern life. In this regard, while some people have a notion that advertising is vital to persuade individuals to buy a product, others believe that it is so widespread and so it cannot attract people’s attention anymore. Both views have some points the discuss. In this essay, I will discuss these two ideas and explain my point of view.

Those who agree with the view that advertising is essential to encourage people to shop have various reasons to support their idea. Firstly, once one does not have adequate knowledge about products having influential and proper advertisements, they can be persuaded by these commercials. As a result, these marketings may increase the prospect of one’s shopping. Secondly, recently some famous people have been endorsing some certain products. Moreover, some of them play their advertising movie. Therefore, their fans usually prefer to buy the item based on the celebrity's endorsement. For instance, Christiano Ronaldo who is a football star is playing in the Head and Shoulders Shampoo advert currently and this situation has been resulted in his fans buy it. From these perspectives, it seems that advertising has an immense influence on people's purchasing habits.

However, the supporters of the opinion that advertising lost its impact on individuals due to it is so common and ordinary, present own their points too. First of all, in general, people tend to avoid watching ads because all are the same, there is no new and appealing feature in that. To put it differently, almost all kinds of commercials utilize the same methods and the same sentence such as "ıf you do not like our product, you can take a refund immediately" or "This product is cutting-edge."As a result, people do not pay attention to them. In addition, people see commercials everywhere on tv, the internet, outside, billboards, radio, so when they encounter an advert they are automatically close their minds and not interesting them. For example, according to current research conduct in Europe show that an increasing number of people are becoming a member of Youtube Plus which does not include any ads. According to this idea, advertising seems to be wasting money.

In conclusion, the supporters of these two views have theşir own opinions. In my opinion, I support the idea that advertising still has a huge impact on people shopping tendencies. The reason for my decision is in the modern ages every day new products are manufactured and people need to know about them. If there are no commercials people can not follow the new products. Therefore, a huge advertising sector awaits us in the future.
