Tonight I will begin to read "The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde" (In French first) by Robert Louis Stevenson. I can't wait to read this Gothic novel of English literature. Who read it ? What did you think of it ? I would like to know your opinion :)

Hi :) I read this book years ago, but I remember the thrill. I absolutely loved it! What made you choose this one for your next read?
I read it recently, and it was a total disappointment. The story was plain and boring, so I just labored through that book and forgot about it. I love Stevenson's other works, though. "Treasure Island" and "The Black Arrow" being my favorite ones. Give them a try, as well.
Hello! I read it many years ago, so I don't remember any details, but I remember being so absorbed in it, I couldn't stop reading even when I walked. I had a collection of the same author, and all of the works that were in it were great.
I remember reading that Stevenson wrote the entire book over 2 days... after having burned a previous version which he’d penned over a similarly short period but thought to be too terrifying! I likewise read it in a flurry. A true classic.
It's still one of my favorite stories, which is saying something. I love reading, and I read a lot. The story is a bit dark, obviously. But I love the themes and ideas. It gets better and more intense as the story goes.
Thanks for your reviews^^
