A Wrinkle in Time is a famous novel by Madeline L'Engle. Recently I bought it for my 10 year old daughter. My plan was to just flip through its pages to get an idea about its content before giving it to my daughter. The book was amazing and I read the whole novel. A movie was also released based on this novel.
I feel this book is a great start to developing an imagination about time travelling, life in other planets, etc. I really felt sad that I couldn't read this book during my childhood period. This book tells the story of three kids, two siblings and their friend, who are on a journey to find their father with the help of three female witches. The story is mostly narrated by the protagonist Meg, a 13-year-old girl. We may feel that this girl is not strong and intelligent to lead. But in reality most of the kids act that way. They are not super kids. They are just kids who lead their own life. They have to find their own ways to get rid of their fear, to make apt decisions and sometimes to lead others. Madeline depicted Meg's feelings beautifully in the novel. I simply liked this novel.
Thank you for reading. :-)
I haven't read this book, but I've heard so many good reviews that I might add it to my reading list :)
I recommend this book. Please offer your views about the novel after reading. Thank you for the corrections.
What did your daughter think?
Hi Elizabeth, She has yet to read this novel. We purchased a number of novels together and this is in the reading list. But I hope, she will like this novel.
