Japanese supermarket puts a price reduction seal on a food before its close.
The rate of discount will be up toward the closing time, and finally it became half price.
Yesterday, I bought a white meat of chicken by half price for my dog in a supermarket at toward the closing time.

This is such a smart and convenient practice that other countries should follow suit. We waste a lot of food here in Italy. Most supermarkets and food-related businesses throw away unsold food. They don't care if it's still edible. Until a few years ago, it was illegal for businesses to donate their unsold food to food banks. They had to change the law to allow this, but it's not mandatory.
